Facepay to be expanded to all 7-Eleven stores nationwide

Viva Republica, the operator of the financial super app “Toss,” announced a partnership with 7-Eleven to launch a membership service called “Double Pass.”

Double Pass is a membership program that provides discount benefits and is available for free to anyone aged 14 or older through the Toss app. Members can receive a 5% instant discount when paying with Tosspay at any 7-Eleven store nationwide.
If payment is made using Toss Money or a linked bank account through Tosspay, users can earn 5% of the payment amount in Toss Points. These points can be used like cash at a rate of ₩1 per point during Tosspay transactions. Alcohol and tobacco purchases are excluded from discount and reward benefits. The benefit is limited to once per day, up to ₩5,000 each for discount and points reward.
In addition to the membership, the two companies are also collaborating on offline payments. Since May, Toss Facepay has been piloted at the 7-Eleven New Wave Origin branch in Gangdong-gu, Seoul. Toss Facepay is a facial recognition payment service, allowing users to complete payments by simply having their face recognized by a dedicated device after registering their facial data and payment method in advance.
Starting in the second half of the year, Facepay will be available at all 7-Eleven locations nationwide. The two companies aim to offer a convenient offline payment experience without the need for physical payment methods.
“We expect this collaboration with 7-Eleven on both the membership and Facepay to deliver meaningful benefits and convenience to users,” a Toss representative said. “We will continue to enhance the offline payment experience uniquely offered by Tosspay in everyday life.”
