  • You'll need a range of financial services while living in Korea—from opening a bank account and sending money abroad to getting a debit card and paying utility bills. Toss is Korea's all-in-one financial super app that covers all of your needs in one place. If you're a foreigner living in Korea, there are two things you'll want to check first.

    1. Does Toss support languages other than Korean?

Toss supports 10 languages: Korean, English, Chinese, Vietnamese, Russian, Thai, Uzbek, Indonesian, Japanese, and Khmer. You can switch languages directly in the settings, and once you select your language, it applies to the whole app.

✅ How to change the language: Toss app → [All] → [Settings] → [Language]

    2. Do you need an Alien Registration Card (ARC) to sign up for Toss?

You can sign up for Toss using your passport, even if you don't have your ARC or a phone number yet. But note that you'll only have access to a limited number of services like prepaid cards, wire transfers, and card payments.

✅ How to sign up with a passport

Download and open the Toss app, then select your country and whether you hold Korean citizenship. Scan your passport (make sure it's still valid), set a PIN, and enter your email address for verification, and you're all set!

Once you obtain your ARC and a phone number, you can register with your phone number to unlock the rest of the services.

Toss is available in multiple languages and doesn't require an ARC to sign up, making it one of the easiest ways to get started with finances in Korea. Download the Toss app to start your life in Korea.
