Viva Republica (“Toss”), the operator of the financial super app "Toss," announced the launch of the “10 to 100: Toss 10-Year Anniversary, A New Beginning” campaign (10 to 100 Campaign).

The 10 to 100 Campaign celebrates a decade of transformation and innovation while setting a vision for the next century. The campaign’s slogan, “Toss-10 Year Anniversary, A New Beginning,” reflects the company’s vision of its 10th anniversary serving as the starting point for the next 100 years.
Running until March 2, the campaign features a variety of programs available both online and offline. The first program is the “Toss Data Report,” available on the official campaign website, which presents the evolution of finance through data-driven insights. The report is divided into two sections.
The first report, “Monthly Finances,” analyzes financial trends based on users’ monthly activities. For example, the March edition highlights teen financial activities in line with back-to-school month, while the May edition focuses on family-related financial behaviors in line with Family Month in Korea. This report provides a closer look at how Toss services have become part of users’ daily lives.
The second report, “Toss in Numbers,” examines how Toss has saved users time and money over the past decade. It highlights key figures, such as the time saved through Toss’ simple transfers and the total amount protected by Toss’ Compensation Program. Composed of 10 major themes, the report illustrates how Toss has transformed and improved the financial experience.
On February 10, Toss will release a campaign film on its official website and YouTube channel, depicting how Toss has changed finance over the past 10 years since it launched the simple transfer service. The film follows a protagonist who time-travels from 2015 to 2025, experiencing how Toss has evolved into a financial super app, where all financial activities are integrated into a single platform.

As part of the celebration, Toss will host a special 10-year anniversary event, “Square of Toss,” from February 26 to March 2 at AndersonC in Seongsu-dong. This space will feature an exhibition where users can interact with Toss’ data report firsthand. Additional highlights include a pop-up of Toss’ in-house coffee shop, the “Coffee Silo”, a curated “Library” featuring 100 books for new beginnings, and a “Gift Shop” selling exclusive 10th-anniversary merchandise. The event will also include financial education sessions by Toss CX and free talks by industry thought leaders.

Viva Republica, the operator of the financial super app “Toss,” announced that it successfully concluded a “Create Your Zodiac Sign” donation event, held in celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
From December 3 to 25 last year, participants indirectly experienced the accessibility feature known as the “Screen Reader,” designed to assist individuals with visual impairments. They also contributed to the meaningful cause by voluntarily making donations ranging from 1,000 to 2,000,000 KRW via “Tosspay,” Toss’s simple payment service.
Over 3.37 million participated, collectively raising 270 million KRW in donations. The full amount was donated to UNICEF Korea and the Community Chest of Korea to support children with disabilities. Both organizations have pledged to ensure transparency by publicly disclosing the collection and use of the funds.

Viva Republica, the operator of the financial super app "Toss," has signed an MOU with Seoul City to support individuals with borderline intellectual functioning.

As part of this initiative, Toss has donated ₩100 million from the proceeds of its financial guidebook, The Money Book: Guide to Shape Your Future (The Money Book), published in May. Recognizing that individuals with borderline intellectual functioning often face gaps in social support, Toss aims to provide structured assistance to address their needs.
Of the ₩100 million donation, ₩70 million was allocated to the Seoul Borderline Intellectual Functioning Continuing Education Support Center (MIM Center) to help establish the "Slow Growth Dream Space." This space includes art therapy and counseling rooms to provide emotional and psychological stability while fostering creativity. The remaining ₩30 million was donated to the Youth Mungan Social Cooperative, which will improve two locations of "Youth Mungan Restaurant" into workplaces tailored for individuals with borderline intellectual functioning.
To further expand its support efforts, Toss attended “MIM Center Hwaljak Day” on December 24, where it officially signed an MOU with Seoul City to collaborate on lifelong education initiatives for individuals with borderline intellectual functioning. The signing ceremony was attended by Toss CEO Seunggun Lee, Toss CX CEO Heejin Kang, Seoul City Mayor Se-hoon Oh, Lifelong Learning Bureau Director Jong-won Koo, MIM Center Head Kyo Bong Lee, and Chairman of Youth Mungan Social Cooperative Mun-su Lee.

After the signing, attendees visited job preparation support programs for young adults and financial education sessions for parents of individuals with borderline intellectual functioning, reaffirming their commitment to collaboration. The financial education sessions were conducted by Toss CX, Toss’ dedicated customer service affiliate. Throughout 2024, Toss CX has actively participated in various support programs for individuals with borderline intellectual functioning, including running a pilot job experience program for young adults with borderline intellectual functioning, co-organized by MIM Center, the Korea Youth Foundation, and the Korea Employment Agency for Persons with Disabilities; a financial education session for primary caregivers; and setting up awareness-raising event booths.
"Through this agreement, we will actively support individuals with borderline intellectual functioning in gaining independence and achieving growth beyond the social support gap,” said Seunggun Lee, CEO of Toss. “Toss will continue to evolve beyond financial services, embracing marginalized communities and fulfilling its social responsibility as a company."
Toss plans to expand support programs, including financial education for individuals with borderline intellectual functioning, while also exploring practical solutions to assist financially marginalized communities. Additionally, a second round of donations from The Money Book proceeds is planned to continue support for these groups.

Viva Republica, the operator of the financial super app "Toss,” announced that it is marking the 2nd anniversary of the Data Protection Compliance Advisory Committee (Committee).

Established in November 2022, the Committee serves as an independent advisory body that strengthens Toss’ customer data protection and independently monitors compliance with relevant laws. The Committee is led by Korea University’s Graduate School of Cyber Security Professor Hun-Yeong Kwon with Professor Seungjoo Kim from the same graduate school and Legal Advisor Chuljoon Kim from Kim & Lee Law Firm serving as members.
Since its launch two years ago, Toss has shared its data protection policies and operational strategies with the Committee for expert consultation. Key agendas have included enhancing data management, refining data governance, ensuring regulatory compliance and legal adaptation, developing an AI governance framework, strengthening customer data sovereignty, and fostering trust in data protection practices.
Based on these discussions, Toss has achieved concrete milestones, including being the first fintech company in Korea to obtain CBPR (Cross-Border Privacy Rules) certification, establishing a Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) system for data handling with external partners, and launching a Personal Information Safety Report for users.
At the 5th regular meeting, held to mark the 2nd anniversary of the Committee’s establishment, reports were presented on improvements to personal data collection agreements in response to amendments to the Personal Information Protection Act, as well as technical and administrative protection measures for biometric data. The Committee gathered opinions on these matters.
"The Committee has played a crucial role in independently overseeing Toss’ data utilization and protection efforts, contributing to the advancement of our data governance system over the past two years,” a Toss representative said. “Moving forward, we will continue discussions on transparency and trust while establishing new standards for data protection in the financial industry."

The Toss Certificate can now be obtained without visiting a diplomatic office or using a domestic mobile carrier
Expected to enhance convenience and security for overseas Koreans managing their finances

Viva Republica, the operator of the financial super app "Toss,” announced the launch of its pilot service for issuing certificates for overseas Koreans.

This new service enables overseas Koreans to verify their identity remotely using their “e-passport” and “overseas stay information,” allowing them to obtain a Toss Certificate. Previously, Koreans residing abroad faced challenges when applying for a certificate, often requiring a visit to a diplomatic office or additional verification via a domestic mobile carrier phone to access online financial services in Korea.
To address this inconvenience, Toss is collaborating with the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Korea Communications Commission, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Digital Platform Government Committee, the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), and the Overseas Koreans Agency. Moving forward, overseas Koreans with a valid resident registration number will be able to obtain a Toss Certificate by simply entering their electronic passport details and overseas stay information, eliminating the need to visit a diplomatic office or have a domestic mobile carrier phone.
Once issued, the certificate can be used within the Toss app to access scattered financial information and make money transfers. With this, overseas Koreans are also expected to be able to manage their financial lives more easily.
“This service marks a significant step in addressing the challenges faced by overseas Koreans who lack a domestic mobile phone or find it difficult to visit distant diplomatic offices,” a Toss representative said. “It is particularly meaningful that Toss, as a licensed electronic signature provider and identity verification agency, can now offer overseas Koreans a secure and convenient way to access financial services.”
To commemorate the launch of this service, a ceremony was held on the morning of November 28 at Diplomatic Town in Seocho-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by representatives from the Overseas Koreans Agency, the Korea Communications Commission, the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Digital Platform Government Committee, the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), and Toss, along with five other organizations involved in the introduction of this service.
