  • Employees can now access a total of 25 childcare centers through Toss’s combined network of in-house and partner facilities across multiple regions.
  • EEUM accommodates children aged 0–5 and offers extended-hour care, operating from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. in line with Toss’s fully flexible work policy.

Toss announced the opening of its first in-house childcare center, Toss Childcare Center “EEUM.” The new facility underscores the company’s ongoing efforts to help employees stay fully engaged at work while maintaining a healthy work–life balance.

Prior to launching EEUM, Toss partnered with 24 external childcare centers under a joint-operation model, establishing a hub-based network that enables employees to access childcare services across multiple regions. With the addition of “EEUM,” employees can now choose from a total of 25 childcare centers—including both in-house and partner facilities—based on their workplace and residential needs.

Located near Toss’s headquarters in Seoul, EEUM spans two above-ground floors and one basement level, and can accommodate up to 43 children aged 0 to 5. In line with Toss’s fully flexible work policy, the center operates from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. A team of 13 staff members, including certified early childhood educators and nutritional specialists, provides comprehensive daily care and education.

EEUM follows Korea’s national early childhood curriculum while incorporating the Reggio Emilia educational philosophy. The program emphasizes children’s competence, self-directed exploration, and their role as valued members of a community. Age-specific classes and experiential learning programs, including community-linked activities, are designed to broaden children’s exploratory experiences.

The center offers several differentiated features, including extended evening care with dinner service, specialized programs such as English, music, and physical education for select age groups, and a dedicated care system for mildly ill children. Quarterly parent participation programs, counseling sessions, and enhanced safety and hygiene management systems further contribute to a stable and supportive childcare environment.

Particular attention was given to spatial design. Furniture and equipment were custom-built to reflect children’s developmental stages, and signage was installed at a child’s eye level. In addition, an outdoor garden and sand playground provide opportunities for nature-based experiences within an urban setting. Small class sizes ensure more attentive and individualized care.

“The opening of EEUM is more than an expansion of employee benefits,” a Toss representative said. “It reflects our commitment to building an environment where team members can feel secure both at work and at home. Toss will continue to invest in infrastructure that supports the lives of our team members and their families.”

The name “EEUM,” which means “connection” in Korean, symbolizes the center’s role in bridging the daily lives of parents and children, reinforcing Toss’s commitment to supporting both work and family life. (End)
