Toss announced that its mini app platform, “Apps in Toss,” has surpassed 200 partner mini apps just 100 days after launch.

Apps in Toss is an open app-in-app platform that allows partners to build and operate online services directly within the Toss app. Since launch, it has become one of the most actively used services within the Toss ecosystem. Usage was evenly distributed across age groups from users in their 20s through 50s.

Gaming has emerged as the most active category on the platform, reflecting strong demand for services that can be accessed instantly without requiring separate app downloads. Mini apps across content, healthcare, and AI services also continue to expand.

Interest from partner companies has grown rapidly following strong performance during the platform’s Closed Beta Test (CBT) phase. The number of companies applying to join Apps in Toss increased from about 160 in July, when the beta program began, to over 320 in September, doubling within two months.

A wide range of partners have already achieved notable results. In gaming, Superjoy’s “Grow Soldier Party” reached 800,000 cumulative users within just six weeks of launch on Apps in Toss — a milestone that previously took four years through conventional app marketplaces. Proptech platform Safe Butler acquired 99% of its new customers through Apps in Toss, increasing monthly revenue fortyfold, while fortune-telling service Jeomsin recorded daily active users more than six times higher than expected.

Smaller companies and groups of developers have also demonstrated the platform’s potential. “Cosim,” an overseas eSIM roaming service developed by a single developer in just two weeks, generated KRW 2.6 million in revenue during its first week without any advertising spend. “D-Spot,” a discount coupon service created by a two-person team in five days, achieved KRW 10 million in monthly revenue within its first month. One-person studio Sublevel Games also launched 16 AI-powered games through the platform, highlighting Apps in Toss as both an experimentation space and a growth platform for startups.

Driven by these tangible partner outcomes, Apps in Toss is now transitioning from CBT into a full open beta phase. Toss said the move will help accelerate partner growth and make it easier for more companies to quickly build and launch mini apps on the platform.

“Within just 100 days of launch, Apps in Toss has proven to be both a rapid monetization opportunity for small companies and a new revenue pipeline for larger companies,” a Toss representative said. “Going forward, we hope more businesses will create new opportunities through the platform, while users enjoy a wider range of everyday services all within the Toss app.”
