  • Around 1,000 students from six high schools to participate, helping strengthen financial readiness for adulthood
  • Real-life topics such as part-time employment contracts, wages, and financial fraud prevention resonate with students

Toss announced today that it has launched a financial education program for high school seniors who have completed Korea’s College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT), helping students build essential financial skills as they prepare to enter adulthood.

The program is based on the Financial Supervisory Service’s “Financial Education for High School Seniors After the CSAT” initiative. Financial education sessions will be held sequentially at six high schools through December, with more than 1,000 students expected to participate.

The first session took place on November 14. Designed around students’ interests and real-life financial situations, the program aims to help young people develop practical financial knowledge before entering the workforce or higher education.

The first session covered everyday financial topics relevant to young adults, including why tracking daily spending matters, what students should know about employment contracts and wages before taking their first part-time job, and how overdue mobile phone bills can affect credit scores. By connecting financial concepts to situations students are likely to encounter, the session was well received by students.

The second session focused on financial fraud prevention, an area where first-time financial consumers are particularly vulnerable. Students learned about common scams such as voice phishing and messenger phishing, as well as emerging fraud schemes targeting young people, including online romance scams and high-paying part-time job scams. The session also introduced practical prevention measures and fraud-blocking services. Interactive quizzes at the end of the program helped students reinforce key concepts and learn how to respond to potential risks.

In addition to the post-CSAT program, Toss is supporting the introduction of Finance and Economic Life, a new elective high school subject scheduled to be offered beginning next year. In October, Toss and Goyang City hosted a special financial education lecture for first-year high school students,  introducing the purpose of the course and demonstrating how financial concepts connect to everyday life.

“Financial literacy is not simply knowledge—it is a fundamental life skill for young people preparing to enter society,” said a Toss representative. “We will continue expanding financial education programs to help students use financial services safely, confidently, and responsibly in their daily lives.”

Toss continues to operate a range of youth financial education initiatives, including the Financial Supervisory Service’s One Company, One School financial education program, the Finance and Economic Life outreach lectures, and the Financial Education for High School Seniors After the CSAT program. Earlier this year, Toss also provided hands-on financial literacy classes for 66 elementary school students, further expanding access to financial education across different age groups throughout Korea.
