Toss Adds Four Languages to Enhance Financial Accessibility for Foreign Residents

• Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, and Russian added to Toss’s official language offerings, bringing total supported languages to five

Toss announced it has expanded its in-app multilingual features to support a total of five foreign languages. In addition to English, the company has added Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, and Russian, creating a more accessible environment for foreign users to use financial services without language barriers.

The expansion is part of Toss’s broader effort to improve financial accessibility for foreign residents in Korea. As of the first half of this year, Toss had 460,000 foreign users, reflecting continued growth driven by service improvements tailored to international customers. The newly added languages are among the most widely used by foreign residents in Korea, allowing more users to navigate financial services in their preferred language.

Toss has continuously enhanced its platform to better serve foreign customers, including improvements to its identity verification system. The company has also enabled foreign users to access a wide range of everyday financial services—including remittances, payments, and hospital expense reimbursements—with the same level of convenience available to domestic users.

“As the number of officially supported languages increases, we expect service understanding, trust, and overall financial accessibility to improve significantly,” a Toss representative said. “Toss is steadily strengthening the foundation of its multilingual services through an in-house dedicated team, and we aim to become a platform where anyone can manage their financial life conveniently, regardless of their language.”
