Toss and Toss Securities Move to Strengthen Financial Accessibility for the Visually Impaired

• A four-session financial education program at the Korea Welfare Foundation for the Visually Handicapped, running April 20 to May 18
• All course materials provided in braille and large-print formats; curriculum covers pensions, tax savings, and stock investing
• Efforts extend beyond education to accessibility technology, including the "Ally" app-accessibility diagnostic tool

Toss and its stock-investing affiliate Toss Securities announced a financial education program for the visually impaired to mark the Day of Persons with Disabilities.

The program runs for a total of four sessions from April 20 to May 18 at the Korea Welfare Foundation for the Visually Handicapped, teaching practical financial knowledge step by step. The first session covers the structure and use of pensions, including the national pension, private pensions, and retirement pensions. The second addresses tax-saving strategies by income type and criteria for choosing financial products. The third and fourth sessions cover stock investing—from basic concepts to practical strategies.

All lecture materials were produced in both braille and large-print formats, allowing participants to review the content on their own and revisit it afterward.

"I have often had difficulty accessing financial information, but the sessions focused on knowledge that is genuinely useful in everyday life, which helped me understand it," one participant said.

"The difficulties that visually impaired people experience when using financial services often begin at the information-access stage," a Toss representative said. "By strengthening accessibility technology and financial education together, we will create changes that people can feel in real usage environments."

Toss has also been expanding its efforts to improve accessibility on multiple fronts. It developed "Ally," an automated accessibility-diagnostic tool that helps ensure visually impaired users who rely on screen readers, software that reads on-screen content aloud, can use in-app features smoothly. Toss has also formed a "one-company, one-school" partnership with Daejeon School for the Blind, running basic financial literacy education and fraud-prevention education.
