Toss Recruits App in Toss Partners, Opening up to Startups
- Partner companies’ services can be linked and operated directly within the Toss app
- Used as a testbed for startups … Support from app development to user analysis
- Evolution into a super app that provides both financial and everyday services in a single app
Viva Republica, the operator of the financial super app “Toss,” announced that it is recruiting “App in Toss” partners.

App in Toss is provided in the form of an App-in-App, which provides multiple services within a single app, allowing users to use services operated by partner companies directly within the Toss app. Users can access not only the financial services provided by Toss, but also lifestyle services, online and offline store connections, games, and entertainment from the “Mini App” menu in Toss.
In particular, Toss is actively opening its app through App in Toss so that startups can lay the foundation for growth. This will allow partners to share know-hows and infrastructures of overall app operations including development, design, marketing and to use Toss app as a testbed.
With cumulative subscribers of 28 million, Toss is expected to contribute to increasing brand awareness and accessibility for startups, helping them acquire customers. Partners can also operate paid services and advertisements through in-app payments within App in Toss, through which they can generate additional revenue. Partnership applications can be submitted through the App in Toss homepage.
For users, it provides a convenient experience on mobile devices that allows various services to be used in one app without having to install additional apps. Currently, Toss Mini App menu has beta services including “Check Missed Insurance Payouts (Lifecatch),” “Find Cost-Effective Homes (Safejibsa),” and “Get Home Appliance and Daily Item Recommendations (Nosearch).” There are also mobile games that can be enjoyed without separate app downloads.
Toss plans to continue building the App in Toss ecosystem with more diverse partners. The goal is to provide a user experience that connects finance and daily life in a single Toss app and to grow into a “super app for everyday life” together with its partners.
“App in Toss is a practical opportunity for startups to quickly check actual user reactions and improve product completeness,” a Toss representative said. “For users, it will provide them a new experience on mobile devices where they can use various everyday life services through a single Toss app.”
Meanwhile, in February, Toss announced its vision to evolve into a “super app for everyday life” at the 10th anniversary of its app launch. As a strategy to achieve this, it chose “openness” and revealed plans to actively support various partners in utilizing the Toss infrastructure.
