  • When users sign up for the notification service, they will receive information starting July 19 about the payment amount, how to apply, and when the coupons expire
  • From July 21, eligible users will receive notifications according to their birth year, with reminders sent before the coupons expire

Viva Republica, the operator of the financial super app “Toss,” announced that it is accepting pre-registration starting today for the notification service related to the ‘Stimulus Coupons’ (hereafter, consumption coupons). The service aims to help users easily check and efficiently manage information about the coupons, such as payment amounts, application timelines, and expiration dates.

This service is part of the National Secretary service operated by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, and Toss provides the stimulus coupon notification service as a public-private cooperation partner.

Users who register for the service will receive advance notifications over two days starting July 19, including details on payment amounts, how to apply, and expiration dates. From July 21, when the application period begins, users will be notified according to a 5-day rotational schedule based on their birth year to facilitate smooth coupon applications.

For example, on July 21, users whose birth years end in 1 or 6 will receive notifications, while users with birth years ending in 2 or 7 will be notified the following day. From July 26, notifications will be sent to all users who missed their birth year application period, guiding them through the application process.

Once the application period starts, users can select their card company to receive the coupons and will be directed to the card company’s application page. Additional reminders will be sent before the expiration date to help users avoid forgetting to redeem the coupons.

Users can apply for the service by searching ‘Stimulus Coupons’ in the “All” tab at the bottom of the Toss app or by selecting ‘Public Notifications’ under the ‘Public Notifications’ menu.

“We see our role as a public-private cooperation service provider linked to the National Secretary service, delivering public information in an easy and familiar way,” a Toss representative said. “We will continue to work on making a variety of practical public information easily accessible through Toss.”

Since being selected as a public-private cooperation partner for the National Secretary service by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety in March 2021, Toss has provided services through ‘Public Notifications’ within the Toss app. In particular, since August of the same year, Toss has operated a notification service for the ‘COVID-19 National Support Fund,’ helping citizens conveniently access government services.
